# Connect Calendly

> Connect your Calendly account, choose a meeting type, and book visitors directly inside Darwin chat.

<div className="darwin-location"><strong>Find it in Darwin</strong> Settings → Scheduling → Calendly <a href="https://app.meetdarwin.ai/admin/settings/calendar">Open Scheduling ↗</a></div>

Darwin’s native Calendly integration shows available times in chat, creates the booking, and checks Calendly’s confirmation. Your visitor gets a calendar invitation from Calendly.

## Before you connect

* Be an **owner or admin** of the Darwin workspace.
* Have access to the Calendly account that will host the meetings.
* Create an active meeting type in Calendly and configure its availability.
* For this release, use a **single-host event with Google Meet**. Darwin’s meeting picker marks unsupported event types as unavailable. Calendly Standard or higher is required for the supported native booking flow.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Choose Calendly">
    Open **Settings → Scheduling** and select the **Calendly** card. Only its setup panel is shown.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connect your account">
    Select **Connect Calendly**, sign in to the intended Calendly account, and approve the requested permissions. You return to Darwin afterward. Check that the displayed name and email belong to the right host.

    Connecting an account does not create a meeting or choose its meeting type for you.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose a meeting type">
    Select **Choose meeting type**. Pick the event under **Sales meeting**, then select **Use this meeting**.

    If you have already configured this Calendly connection and are switching back from RevenueHero, select **Use Calendly** to use the saved meeting type.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm the connection">
    The Calendly card shows **Active**, and the meeting type shows **Used for new bookings**. In **Meetings**, look for **Calendly connected** and **Ready to book**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Try the experience

Visitors enter their details, select **See available times**, and choose a time. The final step shows the selected time and invitation email. Select **Confirm meeting** to book, or use the **Change meeting time** text link to choose another time. The meeting is not booked until the visitor confirms. Darwin shows **You’re booked** once Calendly confirms it, with links to reschedule or cancel.

Open **Test chat** from the sidebar and ask to book a meeting. You can try the form with sample times; no real booking or invitation is created. Test activity stays out of analytics and billing.

To validate the live connection, coordinate a test appointment with your team through the chat installed on your public website. Confirm it exists in Calendly and appears under **Verified meetings** in Darwin. A live appointment may count toward usage; the in-app preview does not.

## Change the meeting type or availability

Use **Change meeting type** in Darwin to select a different supported Calendly event. Change available hours, calendar conflicts, duration, and invitation details in Calendly.

Use the RevenueHero card if you want to switch providers. Finish saving the RevenueHero setup to activate it; only one provider handles new meetings.

## Connection needs attention

  <Accordion title="The booking is still pending">

<Note>**Disconnect** stops new native bookings and removes the connection’s booking notifications. Existing calendar invitations are not canceled.</Note>
