# Changelog

> What changed in the Darwin API, webhooks, MCP server and the @meetdarwin/api TypeScript SDK. The API version is 2026-10-12; Darwin adds fields and endpoints without a new version.

The API is on version `2026-10-12`. Darwin adds new fields, endpoints, events and tools without a new version, so everything below is additive unless it says otherwise. How versions work: [Versioning](https://docs.meetdarwin.ai/api-reference/introduction.md#versioning).

Opening tests from your own code

## Run opening tests yourself

Your own code or AI assistant can now decide what to test on which page and write the openings, while Darwin shows each visitor one opening and scores them all.

* `POST /experiments` starts a test of your own openings on a page, a page type, a page group or the whole site, against what it shows now. `GET /experiments/{id}` carries `live` results worked out now.
* `PATCH` and `DELETE /experiments/{id}/variants/{variantId}` change or remove an opening.
* `/page_openings`: what any page shows now and why (`GET /page_openings/current`), and a page's or section's own opening.
* MCP: `create_experiment`, `edit_opening`, `remove_opening`, `get_page_opening`, `list_page_openings`, `set_page_opening`, `reset_page_opening` and `set_test_automation`.
* `@meetdarwin/api` 0.3.0 adds `experiments.create`, `updateVariant`, `deleteVariant` and `pageOpenings`.

Guide: [Run opening tests with your own AI assistant](https://docs.meetdarwin.ai/guides/opening-tests.md).

Outcome forms, personal links and credits

## Outcome forms and personal links in the API

* `/outcomes`: build outcome forms from a template or your own questions with fit rules, and switch them live. `PATCH /outcomes/meeting` sets **Book a meeting**'s questions. `/outcome_requests` lists what visitors sent.
* `/personal_links` with `POST /personal_links/{id}/urls` for each person's own address, `/link_greetings` and `/link_visits`.
* New webhook event `personal_link.opened`.
* New error codes `plan_required` (403, with the plan that unlocks it) and `goal_required` (409: the change would leave a live agent with no calendar or live form).
* The API, the MCP server and the chat API are on every plan, Free included, with the same rate limits on every plan.
* MCP: tools for outcome forms, personal links and greetings.
* `@meetdarwin/api` 0.2.0 adds `outcomes`, `personalLinks`, `linkGreetings` and `linkVisits`.

Chat buttons over MCP and a new connect screen

## Chat buttons and outcome requests

* MCP: `create_chat_button`, `update_chat_button`, `delete_chat_button` and `list_chat_buttons`.
* Connecting an assistant shows the workspace with **Switch**, and **Full access** or **View only**.
* New webhook event `outcome.submitted`, with every answer the visitor gave.
